warm weather packing

Hi friends! We are off to Florida for a few days this week for Spring Break. Just a quick trip, but there’s still always so much to pack! Rounding up most of what we’re taking here so I can answer fewer questions and link fewer things while I’m actually there. Trying to “be where my feet are”, remember? All of these pieces are great for any warm weather destination, or even at home as temps rise! I just love spring and summer dressing. Easy, breezy!

Some general tips for packing light:

  • Try to dress in similar colors/tones the entire trip. Makes accessories pair easily and coordinating as a family much easier.

  • Pack the same extra layer to reuse all trip - be it a cardigan or jean jacket.

  • Lightweight rain jackets that roll up are a must in tropical places. Especially this time of year.

  • One pair of dressy shoes, one pair of pool shoes. That’s it. Neutrals so they go with everything.

  • The kids carry their own backpacks with coloring pages, these led writing pads, and iPads. I pack one medium zip bag of magnatiles for the room. Whatever other toys they want to bring must fit in their backpack.

  • If we’re going to an Airbnb or hotel where I know there won't be robes, I always always pack my lightweight robe.
