Hi Friends! The Sephora Sale is happening now! The discounts are tiered based on your level of loyalty (Rogue gets 20%, VIB gets 15%, Insiders get 10%) with code SAVESPRING. To try and make things less overwhelming for you, I’m breaking down my favorites below into four categories - skin care, make up, hair, and what’s in my cart this year. I also have pervious sephora posts here and here and here if you want even more things to ponder.

These are affiliate links and I make a small commission if you purchase by clicking my links. I appreciate your support as beefy posts like this take up a lot of time to prepare! I hope this resource helps you!

SKIN CARE FAVORITES

Ok starting with my favorite category first. Skin care! As a daily mask-er, some of my favorites are above. Plus some stuff for body and lips!

First Aid Beauty Calamine Pore Purging & Calming Mask - This is a fav of mine (and many TRR fans) for good reason. It really draws out oil and reduces the appearance of pores without being too harsh. It’s great for rosacea or sensitive skin too. I also love it because it’s a good price point.

Peace Out Acne Salicylic Acid Healing Dots - For whatever reason I was hesitant to try these. I thought they were a gimmic or something. Boy, was I wrong. The truly dry up a fresh zit overnight. I’ll never go without them in my bathroom cabinet again.

Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Mask - Clearly I have a thing for pore cleansing masks. But really, this one is SO good (and different from the others I have listed.) It’s unique in that it doesn’t dry out your skin. So if you have combination or dry skin this is a great way to get your skin super clean without stripping it.

Ole Hendrickson Cold Plunge Pore Mask - Annnnd another mask. I swear they all are just different enough that I use all three (but by all means, pick one and have at it. I’m the crazy one here). I LOVE this mask because it feels cold when you put it on. I’ve actually put it on my forehead or temples when I have a migraine (cough hangover cough) and it feels so good. This one is BRIGHT blue, heads up so not one you can wear while you drop your kids off or something (or maybe you’re cool with Smurf driving).

Clarins V-Facial Intensive Wrap (aka the de-puffing mask) - Now this mask does something the others doesn’t. It isn’t about purging pores, but more about tightening, softening, and deputing. After a big night of chips and quest and/or margs it is a must. It doesn’t harden while on so I wear mine for a long time because it

Herbivore Coconut Milk Bath - By far and away the best thing you can put in your bath to get baby soft skin. So good after a sun burn or when your skin gets really dry in the winter.

Isle of Paradise Tan Drops - These are one of my most favorite beauty inventions of the past five years. These little drops are concentratrated self tanner that you can mix in with your own lotion. use a little or a lot depending on what your desired look is. I love that I can use my own lotion because I’m v picky. I also use these on my face by mixing in two to three drops with my serum at night. The restyle are so natural! I use color dark.

Tan Luxe The Butter - If I need a more instant tan that the tan drops can’t get me, I reach for this lotion. This is NOT a gradual tanning lotion. It is a “oh my I’m wearing shorts and my legs are pale I need immediate results” lotion. And it works. Doesn’t stink, easy to apply, zero streaking. It’s not as tan as a self tanning foam, but pretty darn close and a lot easier to apply.

Lineage Lip Sleeping Mask Set - I thought I was obsessed with this lip mask and then I saw my husband. We both love it on our lips before we go to bed to help any cheapness. I also use before applying lip color for a smooth even surface. This pack comes with a full size tub and a travel size. Planning to give Al his own next to his bed so he stops using mine!

MAKE UP FAVORITES

Make up is probably my favorite thing to buy during the sale because I love trying new things. That being said, these nine are my absolute ride or dies right now. Forever restocking and going back to these.

Sephora Brand Retractable Eyeliner - 30% off regardless of your “status!”. This eyeliner is hands down the best. I wear it in color matte brown black and it is the perfect natural color with just a little oomph. The tip on the pencil is super small so you can get really precise. It smudges well if you want a smoky eye, but then will not budge throughout the day. I’ll never wear another eyeliner, mark my words.

Tarte Power Flex Concealer - This is a fairly new one to my regimen. I was using cle de peau for years, but lately have wanted something with a little more coverage without being thick. THIS IS SO GOOD! Doesn’t crease, blends well, feels super hydrating on. Reminds me of shape tape but less cakey. New fav for sure. I use color 20N light neutral (I only use for underage and down the center of my nose. If I were using to conceal blemishes I’d go on shade darker.)

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Translucent Setting Powder - I use this as my setting powder after I do my foundation and canceler. I especially like it with a flat canceler brush (like this) to dust under my eyes to ensure my canceler doesn’t crease. It really does minimize pores and controls oil so well. I apply it with this brush. I like that it’s a setting powder in a compact. Loose powders make me rage because they are so messy.

Urban Decay Up All Night Highlighter - When you live in a hot and humid place like Texas, it is very easy to suffer from “melty face”. This makeup setting spray 100 percent prevents “melty face”. Why spend all that time putting on makeup to have it sweat off? A few spritzes of this after you apply your face and its locked in until you wash it off. I buy the mini travel size version so I can take it with me when I travel.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette - This is essentially all I use to create numerous eyeshadow looks. I like that most of the palette is matte shades with a few sparkly ones. I love bronzy tones on my brown eyes and this has some very great neutrals I use very day and then some very fun pops I use for dressier times. If you’re in the market for a new palette, I love this one.

Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation - I had heard tons and tons about this foundation and finally tried it when my old one (which I still love but it was a little heavy) ran out. Oh my goodness is this good. I love a full coverage and this is that, but in a light way if that’s possible. It goes on so easily, blends super well and covers but not in a shellac way. It is oil free so great for warmer seasons and leaves a soft semi-matte, powdery finish. I can’t say enough about it, it’s just so good. I have color 5.2, but probably need to go one shade darker now that I’m a bit tanner. (pro tip: if you’re not sure order the mini/travel size and test it out before committing to the full size bottle.)

Better Than Sex Mascara - I despise the name of this mascara, but oh well. It is one million percent my all time fav. I like a full, fluffy, volumionous lash and this does that. Leaves leashes soft too so if you need to reapply later on in your day you can without feeling crusty. Forever repurchasing. If you haven’t tried, you must.

IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream with SPF 50 - This is the foundation I wear every day. When I tell people who know make up that, they tend to balk because it is VERY full coverage, but here’s my hack: I mix it with my daytime moisturizer for essentially a really good tinted moisturizer with SPF. I just love the way this covers some melanoma spots I have white providing moisture (without leaving me greasy) and spa 50. I’ve used this for probably ten years after I used to watch the IT Cosmetics infomercial every night to fall asleep. When I travel this I call I take because I can dilute it with my moisturizer or daytime or wear it as is for evening. I wear color Medium (winter) and Medium Tan (spring, summer, fall).

Sephora Collection Eyeshadow Multi-Stick - 30% off regardless of “level”! I just got this a few months ago and LOVE it. I use it as my eyeshadow base/primer every day. I use it alone most days, but it is also great for using underneath eyeshadows to keep them in place. I use the nude matte color which is also great for putting in my lower waterline and corner of my eyes for a clean and bright effect. I have in color 33 Secret Budoir which shows yellow on screen, but is actually a light nude color.

HAIR FAVORITES

My Hair has been a struggle the past few years as I grew out some seriously severe baby bangs for THREE YEARS. Postpartum hair is crazy, y’all. We are finally at a good place again - me and my hair - and I am doing everything in my power to keep it healthy. I use lots of bond-builders, heat protectors, and frizz preventers to keep it smooth and manageable. My favs are below.

Bumble & Bumble Bond-Building Repair Treatment - I was a HUGE Olaplex No. 3 fan for years, but lately it just hasn't been cutting it for me. I tried a travel size bottle of this bond-building treatment (from this set which I love!) and was blown away by the immediate softness it gave my hair. I’ve been using once a week since. I use after shampoo and apply a thick amount, focusing at the ends of my hair and then clip it up while I do all he other shower things. Then comb through with a wide tooth comb and rinse. The results are mind blowing. If you’re prone to split ends or are trying to grow your hair, you need!

Olaplex No. 6 Leave In Styling Creme - I’m not entirely off the Olaplex bandwagon though. I still use this styling cream after my shower on wet hair to help protect my bends. It can be a little heavy, so I’ll often only use it when I plan to have wet hair or air dried hair. It’s perfect for my wet-bun days! It keeps those rough little hairs at my ends down on the cuticle for an all over smooth effect.

GHD 1.25” Soft Curl Curling Iron - This is the curling iron I use when I want good beach waves. I love it because the temperature automatically adjusts to your hair to ensure you’re not burning it. I’m not entirely sure what it is about this iron, but it holds my curls the longest. I'll wake up the next day and barely need to touch up my curls! It’s an investment, but I’ve had mine for 3 years and it still works wonderfully.

ColorWow Dreamcoat Spray - I don’t know how I lived without this product before I knew of it. It is the best humidity protector. I spray a little on my damp hair before blowdrying and it keeps my hair in check in this weird Texas weather. You only need to use every few shampoos so one bottle lasts a very long time.

Amika The Cure Intense Repair Mask - I’m a big fan of hair masks as much as I am face masks. About once a week in the shower I’ll put a good coating of this on my hair, focusing on the ends and leave it on for a few minutes. It adds so much moisture back into my hair while repairing and protecting it from styling.

IGK Charcoal Shampoo - This is my holy grail product for when I haven’t washed my hair in awhile. When the grease is SO bad you can see it, you need this. I use it as my first shampoo (if you’re not double cleansing your hair, try it. It’ll be SO much cleaner and later so much better the second time). It really absorbs oil and product residue from the scalp to keep your hair healthy and clean. Obsessed.

Dyson Airwrap - There is SO. MUCH. back and forth about the pros and cons of this device out there, but of rme I use it every day. I use the curl function less than I thought I would, but I also haven’t wanted the bouncy curl look for me right now. I do, however, use the blow dry brush and round brush attachments very day (see a REEL about it here). If you’ve been considering the Airwrap, now is the time to buy since it’s on sale! (update: it went out of stock after I published this, but i’ll keep an eye on it!)

ColorWow Pop & Lock Hair - I put the tiniest amount of this on my palm and then rub through my finished hair - whether it’s straight or curly. It adds shine and helps control frizz all day long. I like how weightless it is.

Living Proof Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo - I used to wash my hair every day because I couldn’t stand the feel of dry shampoo on my head. It felt heavy to me? BUT this all changed when I found this dry shampoo that ACTUALLY CLEANS YOUR HAIR. So it doesn’t just cover up oil, but somehow make your hair feel freshly washed. Life changing, I tell ya. This set comes with a travel size too for the price of a regular bottle!

IN MY CART THIS YEAR

Ok if you’ve made it this far you get one thousand gold stars. This is the section I’m most excited for because these are all new things to me that i’ve heard about and am excited to try. I went a little nuts with my Rogue status last weekend (we were able to shop beginning Friday) and I got some really good things. I’ll be sure to share on instastories as these arrive and I test them out.

DiorShow Eyelash Primer - I’ve been pretty loyal to lancome mascara primer, but have seen a few influencers rave about this one so giving it a go. If you’re not using a primer before your mascara, you’re doing your lashes a disservice. Just like a makeup primer helps your makeup stay on your face, an eyelash primer helps your mascara stay on your lashes. Personally, I always find my lashes to look much longer when I use a primer too. This one is pricey so you could always ave it for full-face moments.

Westman Atelier MIni Petite Sticks Trio - People RAVE about this brand so it’s high time I give it a try. I was happy to see this smaller size trio of their their main colors for bronzer, blush, and highlighter so I can sample without committing to full-size tubes. Apparently these glid eon the skin and are great for contouring and highlighting in a very natural way. Excited to try!

Kosas Cloud Set Baked Setting Powder - My entire discover page on instagram is makeup tutorial things and I fell vicitim to one that showed how magical this powder is as reducing the look of pores. I’m pretty loyal to my It Cosmetics Powder, but like that this one has some color to it. Thinking it may be a good option to wear on non-foundation days this summer. I got mine in color “comfy”.

Make Up Forever Pore Minimizing Primer - One of my favorite things about being in the Sephora beauty club aside from the points is the free samples you get. I had a sample of this in my travel makeup bag and squeezed every last drop out of it I liked it so much. When it’s hot and I get sweaty my pores appear SO large. This primer really combats that and gives my skin a super soft surface upon which to start my makeup. I wouldn’t recommend this f you have dry skin, but combination or oily skin folks will love.

Sephora Brand Foundation Brush - 30% off regardless of “level”. I really wanted to get the Westman Atelier brush to go with my stick trio, but dropping $100 on a brush for products I wasn’t sure I even liked yet seemed silly. This one is super similar and much more affordable. Good for applying foundation or using with cream bronzer/blushes.

Refy Brow Gel - This was recommended to me by a friend who KNOWS her stuff when it comes to makeup. My brow lamination is about worn off, so I’m hoping this gives me that same look without having to go get them done again. Supposedly holds your brows up for that laminated look all day long.

K18 Molecular Repair Hair Mask - There’s been a lot of chatter on the internet about this hair mask - some people love, some people don’t - which to me means I must try and give my two cents! It’s different than a conditioning mask or olaplaex in that it changes your hair texture at the molecular level. I’m no scientist, but I do know hair treatments so excited to give this a go. You shampoo, put in for five minutes, and then style as normal.

Tarte Plumping Juicy Lipgloss - I like a plumping gloss for wearing when I don’t wear an actual lip stick. Gives a nice full look. Several people rave about this brand of lip balms, so when I saw there’s a new pumping style out I had to try. I got the poppy color - perfect for summer!

Nest Rattan Candle - Pro tip: the sephora sale is when I buy all of my nest candles at discount! I’m so excited about this new cute rattan holder and I love their grapefruit scent. This will look so cute on my coffee table, not to mention make my house smell like summertime! Comes as a single wick or 3 wick style. Also available in a cute rattan diffuser!
