Amazon Dresses

I’ve been buying clothes from Amazon for years! I think the free-returns always made it worth the risk for me because let’s be honest, a $25 dollar dress can look pretty cheap, but sometimes you hit the jackpot and you find one that is so good! I’m often asked about these dresses when I’m wearing them on Instagram stories, so I thought I’d throw them all in a blog post so they have a permanent, shop-able place. Many of these aren’t groundbreaking or a secret find from deep down in the Amazon black hole. Most of these are “classic” Amazon dresses that tons of other people have and love. I always think “oh people already know about that dress”, but then I’m asked and people are genuinely surprised! So hear you have it, my favorites from past years of Amazon dresses…
This dress was my gateway Amazon dress. The one that got me realizing “hey this stuff is pretty cute; I wonder what else is out there?”. First of all, blue and white for the win. Comes in several other color-ways (I love this blush colorway for fall). I love the midi length. If you’re shorter, this def works as a maxi dress as well. The double ties at the neckline were a bit confusing for me at first, but don’t overthink them and just tie them up. This dress is narrow at the chest/shoulders so if you have a bigger bust you will want to size up. This dress is one that I throw on all the time when I’m not sure what we’re doing (well, ha, back when we did things) or when I just want to feel a little pulled together around the house (usually with a wet bun in my hair). I also love this short-sleeved wrap version, this beautify blue short sleeve with buttons, and this pretty blue pattern with a deep V.

So the first dress might have been my first amazon dress to purchase, this one is my favorite to wear. I, no lie, wear this one once a week. Its so comfortable to throw on in this heat (I have a pretty-firm “no waistbands over 95 degrees” policy) and every time I have it on my husband will say I look pretty. It’s a longer style, but not a full-on maxi for me (I’m 5’7”), so I still think it’s a safe bet if you’re shorter. The buttons are functional so great if you’re nursing. It is def a very flowy dress so you may want to size down if you’re petite (I’m in my normal size - small). Tons of fabric so could def wear this if pregnant as well. This is another cute style similar that is just a bit shorter (also with functional buttons) and this style with the ties on the shoulders is so sweet.

This dress is great if you prefer to have your arms covered. It has tons of fabric in the sleeves for a fun flowy look. I love wearing this in the fall with some booties or running around shuttling kids with a denim jacket and sneakers. The empire waist is great if you’re pregnant and the lace-up neckline can be loosened for a more relaxed (or dare I say sexier) look. This one is short, but not too short - an approved “mom length”. I love it in this pretty goldenrod color for fall. This is another cute short style I’ve been wanting to try and this one is another cute pink long-sleeve style. Loving this cute short-sleeve in red for fall!

This tiered cotton dress has been my favorite find of the summer. I wear this weekly! It washes easily, doesn’t need to be ironed, and isn’t too tight and hot for these muggy days. You can wear a regular bra with it (not even racer back needed!) and I think the silhouette is very flattering. I think I’m going to snag it in the navy for fall (keep in mind it is hot here until November). The perfect “mom uniform” with a pair of sneakers. For those of you that prefer sleeves, it also comes with sleeves in the green and black. If buttons aren’t your thing, this is another great cotton tiered options without buttons.

Ok this one I snagged as soon as I saw the print. This leopard/dalmation/spotted print has always been a fav (my powder room is even wallpapered in it!), and I think it will be super big this fall and winter. I got it in the navy to wear with my sneakers from now until well, honestly December because it’s hot as heck here in Dallas until late November. This one hits all my must-haves: swingy silhouette, easy to layer, dress it up or down. I think I’ll be reaching for this one A LOT. It’s lined which is great, but it does run a bit wide in the chest. I’m wearing a small but probably could size down to an extra small. Comes in some other super cute colors too. Also available in a v-neck version with buttons, and DYING over this long sleeve version.

These last two aren’t available anymore because they are from Amazon’s The Drop, but I still wanted to share them and explain what The Drop is in case you weren’t familiar. The Drop is a fashion line that different influencers and bloggers create and is available to purchase for only 30 hours on Amazon. Both of these are from one of my favorites, Grace Atwood’s line for The Drop. It’s so fun to get something designed by an influencer you admire, and a great way to support them as well. The best way to get notified that a new line has “dropped” is to sign up to receive text and/or email alerts here. Then you have to be super fast to get what you like because things sell out oftentimes in a matter of minutes! The Drop also has several “style staples” to complete each influencer’s line. It’s another great resource for great Amazon Fashion finds.
